Larry G. Schedler, CCIM

Larry G. SchedlerLarry G. Schedler has been exclusively representing buyers and sellers of apartment communities for 25 years, and over the past 10-12 years has successfully handled the sale of more than 28,000 multi-family units.

After a career that began in 1983 in acquisitions for a private, regional syndication firm that specializes in multi-family assets and then as a multi-family broker, Larry formed Larry G. Schedler & Associates, Inc. in 2000. His firm specializes exclusively in the representation of buyers and sellers of multi-family properties.

He is consistently recognized by various professional organizations as the top multi-family broker in the state of Louisiana and the Gulf South.

Larry Schedler has successfully represented conventional market-rate buyers and sellers as well as non-profit housing organizations, institutional investors, insurance companies, and financial institutions. He has experience in working with not only all cash and conventionally financed transactions, but also on tax-exempt and taxable bond transactions, Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) and with the various HUD/FHA financing programs.

He is a graduate of Loyola University of the South and holds the Certified Commercial Investment Member designation (CCIM). Larry is a licensed real estate broker in the Gulf States of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama.

Larry has been a guest speaker for numerous professional organizations including Tulane University and The University of New Orleans as a representative of the local and regional apartment market. He has been a guest on local radio broadcasts and testified at a Congressional Hearing on the Gulf South Apartment Market in the wake of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

Larry currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Apartment Association of Greater New Orleans and on the Board of Directors of the Willwoods Foundation, a non-profit housing corporation that owns and operates 2,500 multi-family units in Metro New Orleans. He has previously served as a board member to numerous Volunteers of America (VOA) Affordable Housing Corporations and is co-publisher of the Greater New Orleans Multi-family Report, as well as the author of numerous articles which appear in varioius trade publications.

Cheryl M. Short

Cheryl ShortCheryl M. Short has been involved in the multi-family industry for the past 28 years. During this period she has been actively involved in every facet of the industry from on-site management, asset management, and most recently the senior vice president of a regional apartment management company. For the past 8 years Cheryl has been exclusively representing buyers and sellers of multi-family assets.

Cheryl began her career in multi-family management in 1979 on behalf of individual investors, and institutions. The largest being the Jacques-Miller Company of Nashville, Tennessee. Her district management responsibilities consisted of overseeing a portfolio of garden apartment communities located in Louisiana, Texas, Arkansas, Kansas, and Missouri.

Cheryl served as Vice President of a Louisiana based fee management firm from 1987 to 1992. The firm's portfolio consisted of garden apartment communities in Metro New Orleans and Baton Rouge, Louisiana. A majority of Cheryl's portfolio consisted of Financial Institution and Insurance Company assets in which Ms. Short was directly responsible for rehabilitating the assets repositioning them for an orderly disposition. It was in this capacity that Ms. Short and Mr. Schedler began working together by stabilizing and repositioning assets for disposition.

In addition to her brokerage activities, Cheryl has done extensive management consultation work regarding operations and disposition alternatives.

Cheryl is a licensed real estate agent in the states of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama and has earned the CAM, CAPS, and COS designations.
